Locum Consultant Gastroenterologist with a special interest in Endoscopy

Applications are invited for a locum Consultant Gastroenterologist, on a fixed term basis for 12 months. This post will be in support of the departments priorities of COVID-19 Phase 3 recovery, and Winter Planning. The existing team consists of 12 Gastroenterologists and Hepatologists. Main duties of the job


The Gloucestershire Gastroenterology service has gone through a reconfiguration recently and the team is no longer required to care for general medical inpatients. The GI service has an outstanding reputation for providing high quality gastroenterology services, including an internationally recognised endoscopy training centre, access to research via an active R&D team, a countywide nutrition service, specialist hepatology and IBD teams with dedicated specialist nurse support, and full access to ERCP, EUS, capsule endoscopy, GI motility and fibroscan. The tradition of the team has been to push the boundaries of what is possible and deliver excellent care. Our ambition is to provide the most effective, patient centred and efficient Gastroenterology and Hepatology service in the UK.
