Applications are invited for a substantive Consultant Neurophysiologist based at the Royal Surrey Hospital Foundation Trust (Guildford, Surrey).  

We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed colleague to complement and enhance our experienced and expanding Neurology team at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, and to join the Neurosciences team at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, a world class centre for the provision of Neurosciences and the tertiary centre for South West London and Surrey.  The post holder will be actively encouraged and given the opportunity to develop subspecialty interests to compliment those of the current teams 

The Royal Surrey County Hospital is a medium-sized district general hospital, with an integral cancer centre (St. Luke’s Cancer Centre).  It serves a population of 320,000 for emergency and general services, and 1.2 million people for cancer services. Currently, the Neurology department consists of three consultant neurologists, a consultant neurophysiologist, and associated support personnel.  

We are seeking an ambitious individual to help to develop / lead neurophysiology services within the general hospital and the cancer centre, and to further develop the academic partnership with the adjacent University of Surrey. 

The successful candidates will have CCT or equivalent and be on the Specialist Register for Neurophysiology when they take up the post (applications are welcome from those within six months of their CCT date).
