LOCUM CONSULTANT IN PALLIATIVE MEDICINE

Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant in Palliative Medicine at Bradford Community Specialist Palliative Care Team. This is a fixed term post for 12 Months to cover maternity leave.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the well-established, consultant led specialist palliative care services in Bradford. The hospital palliative care team works in Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust covering two hospital sites. The Marie Curie Hospice is a purpose built unit in the City Centre, offering 16 inpatient beds as well as extensive outpatient and day therapy services. The NHS community palliative care team is based at Shipley Health Centre. Working closely together, the services deliver high quality, integrated palliative care to a culturally and ethnically diverse population and have developed innovative models of care for people with nonmalignant diseases. There are strong links with the Yorkshire palliative medicine training scheme and the local GP training scheme.

The individual will join the three consultants currently working in the hospital, community and hospice. The contract will be held with Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
