University Hospital Birmingham is seeking to appoint a Consultant Neurologist to sustain and develop the existing inpatient and outpatients services to provide comprehensive care for the population of Birmingham with general and specialist neurological conditions supporting the care closer to home strategy. 

This post is a replacement post funded to facilitate the provision of Headache and BOTOX services for the West Midlands region and is based at the new Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. The successful candidate will, alongside general neurological duties, provide predominantly outpatient care as well as some inpatient care of adults and those needing BOTOX for headache and a range of neurological conditions and help to co-ordinate the long term care of such patients in the community. 

Applicants are invited for Consultant Neurologist with a special interest in Headache / Botulinum toxin injections. 

Essential criteria for the post includes: possession of Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practice; Basic Medical Degree (eg MBBS); entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (Proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview); European Community Rights or CESR; evidence of Higher Specialist Training in Neurology (or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview); Full MRCP or equivalent; a wide experience of working in Neurology.
