Special episode: RCP president’s podcast offers reflections on the pandemic
RCP president professor Andrew Goddard has recorded his personal reflections on the first six months of the pandemic in a special RCP Medicine podcast. You can listen here to his account of dealing with the biggest health challenge in decades.
As well as talking about the impact on him personally, and finding many positives, Professor Goddard looks at how the reputation of the RCP has been enhanced by the role it has played throughout the pandemic. He also discusses how COVID-19 has led to a massive change in health services being effected very quickly: because it had to be.
“We choose cases that have hit home with us personally, often because there was something unexpected about them. Some of these cases have stayed with us for years and it’s really valuable to talk them through, get another perspective and share the learning points.”
